About This Conversation

Join us as we welcome leading voices from housing and civic communities for a timely discussion of issues affecting New Yorkers with housing vouchers, whether it be Section 8, CityFHEPS, or other vouchers.

StreetEasy economist Nancy Wu will first cover her recent report on the surge in NYC apartments for rent that are affordable to New Yorkers with housing vouchers. Despite this trend, we see voucher holders continuing to face a number of challenges throughout their home search — a subject our panel will discuss in depth. In addition, they’ll explore how both the public and private sectors can pave the way forward.
